MET data
A purpose-built weather station is located close to both full-scale test sites. The data is fed into the SCADA system which provides real-time display. The weather stations are calibrated to national standards and record the following information:
3 second averages, minimums and maximums:
- Wind speed (m/s)
10 minute averages, minimums and maximums:
- Wind direction (deg)
- Air temperature (deg C)
- Humidity (%RH)
- Barometric pressure (mbar)
- Dew point (deg C)
Note: Wind speed and direction are measured by a high precision 3-axis ultrasonic anemometer located at 4m height to comply with performance standards requirements.
The meteorological data is made available to all developers via the SCADA system.
