Events calendar
March – September 2012
The UK is already the global leader in the development of wave and tidal energy. With well-developed plans for commercial deployment of its projects, a host of testing facilities and significant private investment in the past year, it is on the threshold of rapid growth. The big issue the industry has to face is the level of funding and incentivisation to encourage utilities and equipment manufacturers to deliver the world’s first marine energy arrays over the next few years. Wave and Tidal 2011 is a must for anyone interested in the development of the sector’s huge potential, not just in the UK but worldwide. With our exhibition space already fully sold and over 450 government and industry professionals expected, it presents a golden opportunity to update yourself on all fronts.
Both Eileen Linklater our Client Relationship and Marketing Manager and Neil Kermode our Managing Director will be attending this event.
Scottish Renewables Annual Conference will debate, discuss and define the way forward in the key decisions around our energy mix. View the programme for more detail.
AWATEA’s 6th Annual Conference will follow the same format as our successful 2011 event. We will be holding a one-day conference with a trade display again, since it was positively received last year. The conference day will be devoted to a wide-ranging review of national and international marine energy developments. We will have some international keynote speakers, as we have in previous years.

The conference is the landmark policy and networking event for wave and tidal energy in Scotland’s renewable energy calendar. Each year, industry, local and national government, regulators and academia come together to set new ambitions for the sector and debate the actions required to underpin the industry’s continued growth.
Returning to Inverness, for a fourth year, and with an expected 200 or more delegates and 40 exhibitors, this Conference is set to be bigger than ever.
This year, OWET will host its Ocean Renewable Energy Conference in Portland, Oregon on September 26 & 27. This seventh annual conference is one of the oldest and most respected ocean energy conferences in the United States. The conference has a regional focus that, by virtue of Oregon’s position as one of the best places in the world for ocean energy, attracts leading experts from all sectors and geographies to attend each year.
Join community leaders, developers, utilities, state and federal regulators and guests from around the world to explore the many accomplishments of the past year and what can be done to accelerate the pace of development in Oregon, nationally and internationally.
