Hydrogen’s Place in the Energy System Seminar
Dec 10 all-day

s place in the energy system

The development of hydrogen as a mainstream fuel will be crucial to the Scottish and global net-zero journey – a new market which presents economic opportunity across the board.

But how can industry capitalise on this emerging sector and the need for clean, low-carbon fuel for new and innovative technologies? With an ever-increasing push to decarbonise public transport and vehicles fleets, what are the real golden opportunities for businesses in the renewable energy industry?

Scottish Renewables’ Hydrogen Seminar will examine all these issues and more.

EMEC speakers:

Adele Lidderdale, Hydrogen Projects Manager in the session titled Potential into reality: future technology today

ETIP Ocean & Ocean DEMO Webinar: From single device to a farm – tidal edition @ Online
Jan 28 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Ocean DEMO Logo

Join this webinar on Thursday 28 January 2021, 1400 – 1500, and hear about the lessons learnt from pilot farm projects so far and considerations to be made when going from a single device to an array deployment.

Deployment of ocean energy pilot farms in full operational conditions for long periods of time is essential to advance the sector. It is the only way to achieve high TRLs while reducing costs, reducing risks and attracting investors for future commercial projects.

Multi-device deployments are the next step in the tidal stream technology. A few pilot farms are currently in the water, with lots more in the pipeline for the next years.

Speakers:

    • Lisa Fitzpatrick, Project Manager, EMEC
    • Guillaume Gréau, HydroQuest
    • Nova Innovation – speaker tbc
