Project Portfolio Manager (ICNZ)

Salary: £44,663 – £48,546 (plus contributory pension) | Type: Permanent post

We are looking for a Project Portfolio Manager to manage the delivery of decarbonisation projects underneath the Islands Centre for Net Zero (ICNZ).

You will be managing and working closely with a broad range of partners on projects that shift the dial on our islands decarbonisation challenges. Just as the emissions of Orkney, Shetland and the Outer Hebrides’ are embedded in various end uses and industries, ICNZ demonstration projects are expected to be extremely varied, from demonstrations of specific technologies in local supply chains, to supporting integration of novel processes to communities. You will schedule and sequence project activities by coordinating with relevant project stakeholders and manage both resources and risk, whilst ensuring timely and accurate reporting across the project.

You will have excellent people skills,  with a sound understanding of project management processes and experience managing cross-disciplinary teams.

A passion for making a positive impact and driving through a wide range of projects to completion will be your key credentials. You will ideally be experienced in delivering technical demonstration or deployment projects, though this is not essential. An understanding of governance requirements and the purpose of consortium agreements or contracts is advantageous.

This role is based in Orkney.
