Vacancy: Project Manager

Project Manager

£37,974 – £42,193  plus contributory pension 

We are looking for a Project Manager to manage projects across EMEC’s project portfolio, ranging from tidal, wave, hydrogen, offshore wind and or integrated energy systems. The Project Manager will manage projects safely and to high quality, whilst striving to reduce time, cost and risk. The Project Manager will also play an active role in the continual development of the Project Management Office.

Educated to degree level, with a broad-ranging educational background, you will have solid experience with project management, have strong communication and influencing skills, possess the ability to manage teams and stakeholders, and write and present well for a variety of audiences.

You will manage the project lifecycle process safely and to high-quality, ensuring the project is delivered to the client’s satisfaction and in-line with the reputation and standards of EMEC. You will schedule and sequence the project activities, by liaising with the relevant project stakeholders including partners and sub-contractors, and coordinate the allocation and planning of resources to achieve the required project deliverables.

Preferably based in Orkney, this is a full-time, permanent post, however we would accept applications from those seeking part-time hours.
