Wednesday 4th May 2016
- 1400-1530: Wave and tidal 2 – The Essentials: Consenting, finance, legal and environmental issues. Stuart Baird presents ‘Integrated monitoring for tidal energy’.
- 1430-1445: Community and Local Energy Quick Fire Seminar Theatre. Neil Kermode, alongside Kris Hyde from ITM Power, will present ‘Hydrogen from tidal energy: overcoming grid constraints’.
Thursday 5th May 2016
- 1215-1400: Wave & Tidal 5 – Practical experience in tidal array developments. John Griffiths is chairing this session which will include updates from Atlantis, MeyGen, DeltaStream, and Sustainable Marine Energy.
- 1430-1615: Energy Storage 3 – Energy Storage for Renewables Integration: Delivering Benefits and Keeping Power Bills Down. Eileen Linklater presents ‘Hydrogen from tidal energy: Overcoming grid constraints’ alongside Kris Hyde from ITM Power.
- 1430-1615: Wave and Tidal 6 – The Realism of Economics and Technology. Neil Kermode presents ‘Designing for short life: build it cheap, fail fast and learn quickly’.
- 1430-1615: UK Marine Enabling Technology Programmes – The Results. Stuart Baird will speak about EMEC MRCF funded ‘Integrated Monitoring Platform’.

Wave & Tidal Seminar Theatre
EMEC will be hosting two sessions within the Wave & Tidal Seminar Theatre: Wed 4th May 1230-1400 & Thurs 5th May 1120-1240.
These sessions will comprise a series of quick-fire 6 minute updates from EMEC, technology developers and project partners. The programme will include talks from the following:
