23 June 2021, 10:00-15:45 (BST)

Scotland’s marine energy sector is leading the development of wave and tidal devices, supporting high-skilled jobs, innovative academic research and a world-leading test centre. The industry is developing a strong local supply chain, designing and manufacturing devices that have a high export potential and could bring enormous socio-economic benefits to Scotland and the UK.

In the year of COP26, Scottish Renewables’ Marine Conference will bring together key industry players to discuss the cutting-edge developments happening here in Scotland and assess the opportunities and challenges the sector will face in the vital years ahead.

EMEC was founded in 2003 in Orkney, Scotland and is the only accredited wave and tidal test centre for marine renewable energy globally. More marine energy devices have been tested at EMEC than at any other single site in the world.

Join:

  • Eileen Linklater, External Relationship Manager at EMEC for the opening session at 10:00The renewable solution for marine nations: Scotland’s leading work in the global climate fight“.
  • Matthew Finn, Commercial Director at EMEC who will participate in the closing session at 14:45, “Shifting gear: Taking marine energy into the mainstream”.
