Standards update

EMEC is pleased to announce the publication of the following four documents:

  • Assessment of Tidal Energy Resource
  • Guidelines for Grid Connection of Marine Energy Conversion Systems
  • Guidelines for Marine Energy Converter Certification Schemes
  • Guidelines for Reliability, Maintainability and Survivability of Marine Energy Conversion Systems

These documents, published by British Standards Institution (BSI), are the latest in a series of standards being developed for the marine renewable energy sector. Electronic copies can be downloaded from the EMEC website by clicking here.

This site also provides further information on the standards development process and the latest drafts of additional standards.

We would like to thank the Scottish Government for their support in the development of these documents, and especially to thank all the stakeholders who have participated in the brain-storming, authoring, and reviewing of these documents throughout their development.
