Richard Morris, Commercial Director attended ‘Breakthrough for the 21st Century’ an event promoting groundbreaking ideas in sustainability at the Royal Horticultural Halls.

EMEC had a visit from NLB with a trip to the tidal site to discuss navigational issues related to EMEC and devices. EMEC Consents Manager, Jenny Norris attended a workshop in Perth hosted by SMRU which covered marine mammal observations, an important part to making sure Marine Renewable Devices are not only verifiable as energy resources but also adhere to strict environmental codes and practices.

EMEC were pleased to receive visitors from a network of Regional Economic and Social Councils of Atlantic Arc Regions hosted by Operations Director, Stuart Baird. Their goal was to understand as much as possible regarding EMEC, identifying areas of working together focused on an Atlantic bearing, with a view to issuing recommendations and proposals to relevant local, national and European institutions.

Aquamarine Power Ltd device ‘Oyster’ has arrived and is sitting on the old NLB pier awaiting installation and connection.
