News this week

This week we were visited by Doug Trask and Glenn James from the Newfoundland and Labrador Research and Development Corporation, Canada, who came to visit our wave test site. Another recent visitor was Stephane Archeveque, from JP Kenny Renewables (Wood Group) who came up from Aberdeen to see our Stromness office and Billia Croo.

Also visiting Billia Croo, was Jake MacKenzie, Council Member in California City Council, who made a special trip to see EMEC whilst in Scotland with friends and family for the Scottish Homecoming. Councillor MacKenzie explained work currently being undertaken around planning for marine renewables in Sonoma County to capture some of the potential resources on the United States west coast.

A special thank you must go to everyone in Eday who helped out at the recent Eday Family Fun Day. EMEC Managing Director Neil Kermode and Client and Marketing Manager Eileen Linklater joined Councillors Sam Harcus and Graham Sinclair and Liam McArthur MSP to help judge the Industrial Show. Well done to all the prizewinners, and everyone who took part to make the day a great success
