News this week

Visits this week included Shetland Islands Council and Orkney Islands Council planners. SIC were on a day visit to Orkney and expressed a desire to visit the EMEC site at Billia Croo. On an equally blustery and wet day the International Centre for Island Technology brought the new MSc, PhD and Post Doctoral students for an introduction to EMEC and a wave test site visit.

November 6 saw our Chairman, Bill Edgar; Managing Director, Neil Kermode; and Business Development Officer, Edwina Cook in Aberdeen at the SRF Marine Energy Seminar.

The operations team have been busy in Eday this week and also at the Old Academy. The Temple team (father and son!) busied themselves with new ADCP frame construction on the one dry day this week.

The second Marine Advisory Group meeting took place in Aberdeen on Monday. Click here to see the terms of reference on the research section of our website.

Today is the final closing date for applications for the Technician post.
