Geotechnical Engineering & Marine Surveys from Devizes were carrying out survey work at the Fall of Warness for a developer.

Our Managing Director, Neil Kermode took part in a video conference to the National Energy Commission in Chile this week. This was organised by the Trade & Investment Section in Santiago.

EMEC’s Board met in Stromness for its bi-monthly meeting on Tuesday.

The key players in Orkney’s marine renewables met this week to ensure that Orkney has a cohesive and concerted approach to marine energy. It was a very successful meeting and everyone is looking forward immensely to this exciting and innovative industry for Orkney.

Visitors this week include 16 students from Helsinki University of Technology (pictured with the snow clad hills of Hoy in the background) and Christine Hoegg, a German undergraduate who had done a placement with Synergie in Inverness.
