News this week

Visitors last week included Donald Cameron from BBC Radio nan Gaidheal who will be transmitting a programme on renewable energy including wave and tidal in the near future. Also Russia Today visited EMEC during their Orkney wide visit and will be broadcasting on Sky Channel 516 within the very near future. www.rttv.ru

A training course was held at EMEC on Friday 4 April delivered by Mike Waters of the IA Centre in Glasgow. www.ia-centre.org.uk. This focused on an Introduction to Intellectual Assets and the Benefits of IA Management to Clients and Partners of EMEC.

Meetings have continued with developers on a local, national and worldwide level.

Neil Kermode, Managing Director is in New York this week speaking at an EPRI conference – more details next week.

A wave rider buoy has arrived back from calibration and will be deployed at Billia Croo subject to weather. The photograph above shows the buoy being retrived from Billia Croo.
