Blog: MARINET – 2nd call for applications

EMEC bespoke test support buoy at the wave scale test site (image: Mike Brookes-Roper)MARINET has announced the 2nd call for transnational access applications, offering companies and research groups the opportunity to access world-class marine renewable energy test facilities free of charge. The initiative covers the facility costs of a group from one country using a facility located in another country, provided that results may be published if they prove interesting (tailored to fully protect intellectual property if necessary).  Personnel expertise and advice will be an integral part of the service provided at each facility, and a contribution towards transport and accommodation costs for visiting groups will also be provided.

As a key partner in the initiative EMECs nursery wave and tidal testing facilities, which enable prototype testing in more gentle conditions than those experienced at the full-scale test sites, are included in the scheme.

For further information about the initiative, and to apply, visit www.fp7-marinet.eu. The closing date for applications is 30th September 2012.
