International standards called for by IEC

The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) has announced the formation of Technical Committee 114: Marine Energy – Wave and Tidal Energy Converters

The IEC is now recruiting experts from around the world to develop International Standards to cover the performance of tidal and wave energy converters, how these converters will interface with electricity grid systems, and how they should be tested.
