Blog: EMEC to feature on BBC Radio 4 – The World Tonight – at 2200

“I think the story of EMEC itself is fascinating, and one which too few people in Britain know about – that the world’s biggest testing centre for wave and tidal power is up in Orkney.”

Paul Moss, Reporter for BBC Radio 4 was in Orkney last week visiting EMEC and various wave and tidal energy developers as part of a report on marine renewables for The World Tonight.

“It was a pleasure meeting the people at EMEC itself, and the private engineering companies that use its facilities. My report tonight will look at the potential wave and tidal power have for energy generation, and how this is reflected in the on-going political debate about Scotland’s future.”

The feature is due to be broadcast on tonight’s programme, starting at 2200 on BBC Radio 4.
