News this week

The Operations Team were busy in the Fall of Warness this week taking out the ADCP.

They were also working at Billia Croo erecting a new aerial onto the substation for waverider buoy reception.

The Research Team spent two days this week with the Sea Mammal Research Unit initiating the wildlife observations project at the old coastguard lookout point at Black Craig. The project will begin shortly.

EMEC hosted a combined EMEC and ICIT research meeting on Wednesday in EMEC’s offices.

Visitors this week included Offshore Marine Management from Bristol; EMEC’s insurance brokers, d2 from Glasgow; and Jeremy Cavanagh an MSc student from RMIT Melbourne, Australia.

The photograph shows Billia Croo in the last of the snow last week. Signs of Spring appeared this week to be overtaken by wind and rain today!
