Blog: Wave Energy Scotland webinar – 18 June 2015

Wave Energy Scotland (WES) is holding an information webinar next week, 0930 on Thursday 18 June, to provide details on their latest project call for novel wave energy converters and enable potential applicants to clarify any points on the programme stages.

If you’re in Orkney, feel free to pop along to EMEC’s offices as we will be running the webinar in one of our meeting rooms.

This competition will award technology development contracts for:

  • New concepts which have been through initial feasibility work, with data confirming the scientific, technical and engineering research.
  • Pre-existing devices with significant configuration changes which improve performance.
  • Projects which will satisfy the long term aims and objectives of WES and will have potential to produce a scale prototype device

Applicants can register their interest in the call on the Public Contracts Scotland (PCS) website where all relevant documentation is available to download.

WES are also holding a brokerage event on Thursday 2 July allowing potential applicants the opportunity to meet members of Scottish industry and investigate partnerships.

Yesterday, EMEC and FloWave announced that they are working together to support applicants to the call (click here for more details) and we will be attending the brokerage event to speak to anyone considering applying. If you would like any further information on how we can support you with this call, please get in touch: Email: info@emec.org.uk. Tel: +44(0)1856 852060.
