Blog: Virginia looks to Scottish marine renewables

The state of Virginia, USA, has over 3,300 miles of coastline which would suggest potential for the development of marine renewables. This draw of generating energy from its vast ocean resources brought Sandy Hausman, a reporter for Virginia Public Radio, across the Atlantic to find out more about the developments that are taking place in Orkney, and just how feasible it is to pursue similar developments on the east coast of the US.The first broadcast from a week-long series on marine renewables is now available to listen to online.
