Programme Manager

Location: Highlands and Islands
Salary: £48,862 – £60,152 per annum
Closing date: 19 May 2015
Interview date: 1/2 June 2015

The post holder will be responsible for implementing appropriate project management systems, management of the overall Wave Energy Scotland work plan, and ensuring key stakeholders up to date with project progress.

A proven track record of delivering demanding projects will be required for this role, along with excellent oral and written communication skills. An understanding of the needs and challenges associated with development of new technology, or renewable energy projects would be beneficial.

Innovation & Research Manager

Location: Highlands and Islands
Salary: £59,721 – £71,611 per annum
Closing date: 19 May 2015
Interview date: 1/2 June 2015

Highlands and Islands Enterprise is seeking to recruit an Innovation & Research Manager who will take a key role in the establishment and operation of Wave Energy Scotland. Reporting to the Managing Director, they will lead a team of technical staff to help define the strategic direction of WES, determine priority technology areas for public sector support, and thereafter devise and run innovation calls.

An in-depth understanding of the needs and challenges associated with development of wave energy sector is essential for this role. Candidates should have a strong technical background, with a clear understanding of technology development processes and challenges.

Excellent presentation and communication skills are required, along with flexibility to travel as necessary.

Wave Energy Scotland

Wave Energy Scotland has recently been established by Highlands and Islands Enterprise to support the development of wave energy technologies in Scotland.
