Blog: Introducing our Asset Maintenance Technician

We’d like to introduce you to our new Asset Maintenance Technician, Paul Shearer. His main role at EMEC is to maintain the company’s marine and electrical assets to a high standard.

Paul joins the EMEC team following four years of working as an Electrician for a local electrical contractor where he worked on a variety of projects including council maintenance, new builds, and security systems. Originally from Holm, Paul went to Kirkwall Grammar School prior to studying Electrical Installation at North Highland College in Thurso.

Having grown up in Orkney, Paul has seen the renewables industry develop on his doorstep, and was keen to get involved in the burgeoning sector.
