We are also partnering in a growing number of innovative energy systems, hydrogen, floating wind and clean transport demonstration projects to decarbonise power, heat and transport.
Hydrogen R&D Engineer
Salary negotiable plus contributory pension
We are looking for a Hydrogen R&D Engineer to implement EMEC’s hydrogen R&D programme.
You will work across the company to deliver high quality technical outputs within our energy systems programme, developing methods and processes for hydrogen services, and supporting EMEC’s Operations Team in the demonstration and testing of hydrogen products.
You will deliver into EMEC’s hydrogen-related projects, scoping out technical specifications, writing technical reports on project activities, drive engagement with technical leads to understand R&D priorities and develop hydrogen plant processes and methodologies.
Educated to degree level in a relevant technical or scientific subject, you will be a strong communicator able to share complex ideas clearly.
Experience in the conventional and renewable energy sectors, ideally in hydrogen technology, is advantageous.
Preferably based in Orkney, this is a full-time, permanent post, however we welcome both full and part-time applications.
