Electrical Engineer
Salary negotiable plus contributory pension
We are recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to assist with the management of EMEC HV and LV systems, including client electrical connections and marine energy device performance testing.
You will be responsible for the electrical design and construction work for EMEC’s electrical systems, develop electrical testing requirements and methodology, work with clients to ensure problems are resolved swiftly and assist with the commissioning and maintenance of equipment.
Educated to degree level in electrical or electronic engineering, you will be familiar with HV electrical operations, possess strong numeracy and communication skills and be computer and IT literate.
A recognised further electrical industry qualification or accreditation would be advantageous.
Preferably based in Orkney, this is a full-time, permanent post, however we welcome both full and part-time applications.
