Communications Officer – Orkney Renewables

£19,603 – £21,781  plus contributory pension

Graduate placement*

We are recruiting for a Communications Officer to develop and deliver an Orkney renewables communications plan to promote the progress being made and challenges that the islands face in pursuit of a net zero future.

You will have an HND or above in a marketing or related subject, with excellent communication verbally and in writing, with an eye for detail.

The role includes leading the development of an Orkney energy trail (digital and physical resources), managing and updating websites and social media channels, content creation and coordinating engagement activities (including conferences, events, media sponsorship and awards applications).

Based in Orkney and co-funded by Orkney Islands Council, this is a full-time post for a fixed term of one year initially. *It must be the applicant’s first graduate level job and have commenced within two years of graduation.
