Offshore Wind Conference 2023

SHFCA2022 annual conference takes place on Thursday 20th October 2022 as an in-person event at the prestigious McEwan Hall in Edinburgh. On Wednesday 19th October there will also be an evening networking reception and exhibition in the newly refurbished basement area of the McKewan Hall.

The Hydrogen Scotland conference programme brings together SHFCA members and guests with invited expert speakers who will highlight the steps needed to build the hydrogen economy across Scotland.

EMEC will be speaking at the fourth HTP webinar on Tuesday 4th October from 14:00-15:15 BST (15:00–16:15 CET) on Hydrogen Valley project Commissioning, Training & Operations.

This HTP webinar will cover key aspects of commissioning and operations of Hydrogen Valley / Hydrogen Island projects, providing insights about developing real-world hydrogen projects, based on practical experience from six years of the Clean Hydrogen Partnership funded BIG HIT project on Orkney.

This free to attend event on Zoom will be of interest to anyone seeking to develop their own Hydrogen Valley or Hydrogen Territory project. This webinar will be recorded and the link together with speaker slides will be circulated afterwards to all registered delegates.

Attending and speaking

Dernis Mediavilla, EMEC’s Marine Energy Development Manager, will be in attendance at this years PAMEC conference. The conference will take place on 19-22 June in Ensenada, Mexico.

Dernis will be presenting an abstract at the conference, discussing the role of test centres on supporting innovation and technology development on marine renewable energy and energy systems. Dernis will also be supporting a workshop on the role of  Marine Renewable Energy test centres in facilitation MRE development. This workshop takes place prior to the event on Friday 17 June 2022.

“The PanAmerican Marine Energy Conference Association (PAMEC) has decided to proceed with an in-person Conference in Ensenada Mexico June 19-22, 2022 with workshops on June 17-18. The conference has already attracted international support and attendance. Speakers and presenters have been confirmed from Canada, the USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, and the UK.

PAMEC 2022 is part of the family of conferences on Marine Renewable Energy Research and Development including, the European Wave and Tidal Conference (EWTEC) and the Asian Wave and Tidal Conference (AWTEC). Highlands and Islands Green Energy Conference

Eileen Linklater, EMEC’s External Relationships Manager, is speaking at the Highlands and Islands Green Energy Conference. This event takes place on 8 June 2022 in Inverness.

Eileen will be joining the “innovation and transitioning towards renewable energy systems” panel, discussing how the highlands and islands are contributing towards Scotland becoming a global leader in green energy.

Water Power Week 2022

EMEC will be in attendance at this year’s Water Power Week conference, held in Washington D.C., United States of America. The conference will take place over 3 days, from 5-7 April 2022.
