Research and Consents Manager up to £33k + bonus + contributory pension
The European Marine Energy Centre, based in Stromness, was established in 2003 to provide the developers of wave and tidal energy devices with the world’s first purpose built test facility.
The post of Research and Consents Manager has recently become available and EMEC is now recruiting for this post. This is a key position in the organisation, involving the management of day-to-day aspects relating to EMEC’s research, consenting and data processing activities.
The successful applicant will manage the progress and delivery of EMEC’s ongoing research / monitoring programme to a high standard and to time and budget. They will also manage the identification, acquisition and maintenance of all marine consents required in relation to EMEC’s wave and tidal testing facilities, including those required by EMEC and developers
The new post-holder will have experience related to offshore regulation and a research environment, and will be an excellent communicator and team player.
The post will be based in Orkney.
