Vacancy: Project Officer

EMEC is the world’s leading facility for testing wave and tidal energy technologies in the sea. To date, more marine energy devices have been tested at EMEC in Orkney than at any other site in the world.

We continue to grow and diversify, and we’re excited to have been awarded €11 million of European INTERREG NWE funding to progress the Integrating Tidal energy into the European Grid (ITEG) project.

Led by EMEC, ITEG brings together partners from the UK, France, Belgium and the Netherlands to develop an integrated solution for generating clean predictable energy (tidal power), exporting to the grid, and producing hydrogen with any excess capacity.

Project Officer

£21,652 – £24,058 plus contributory pension

To support the successful delivery of the ITEG project, we are recruiting a Project Officer to engage with ITEG partners and the INTERREG Joint Secretariat. You will monitor EMEC’s performance against targets and KPIs and produce financial and progress reports.

You should have experience in working within a project management focussed environment and be proficient in report writing and reviewing to a high standard.

Based in Orkney this full-time post is for a fixed term to 31 December 2020.
