Vacancy: Performance Test Engineer

EMEC is the world’s leading facility for testing wave and tidal energy technologies in the sea. To date, more marine energy devices have been tested at EMEC in Orkney than at any other site in the world.

Performance Test Engineer

£29,923 – £36,573 plus contributory pension

We are looking for a Performance Test Engineer to deliver EMEC’s marine energy testing and performance assessment services into collaborative R&D projects.

You will be required to develop and maintain test software and equipment, analyse and interpret test results, and prepare technical reports for clients. You will also provide technical input into the development of testing and certification schemes for the sector.

Educated to degree level, you will have experience of working effectively within a project focussed environment, with well-developed critical, numerical and analytical skills.

Based in Orkney, this full-time post is for a fixed term of 2 years.
