Vacancy: Hydrogen Systems Engineer

EMEC is the world’s leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters, and has supported more real-sea deployments than at any other site in the world.

Hydrogen Systems Engineer

£35,724 – £39,693 plus contributory pension

We are looking for a Hydrogen Systems Engineer to support the design, development, operation and continual improvement of hydrogen production and fuelling infrastructure at both customer and company bases.

Educated to degree level in chemical, process, industrial or mechanical engineering, the Hydrogen Systems Engineer will develop and maintain a detailed understanding of EMEC’s plant and equipment. They will act as a subject matter expert for hydrogen applications generation, compression and storage, and assist with process design safety studies and the development of plant compliance documentation.

The Hydrogen Systems Engineer will have a minimum of 5 years working experience in a process / chemical plant environment, or experience working with hydrogen and / or fuel cells.

Based in Orkney, this is a full-time post for a fixed-term of 2 years.
