Vacancy: Head of Projects

EMEC is the world’s leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters.
We are committed to supporting the transition to net zero and are also pioneering developments in green hydrogen and island energy systems.

Head of Projects

£46,135 – £51,261  plus contributory pension 

We are looking for a Head of Projects to oversee EMEC’s project portfolio, delivering outputs on time and to a high quality.
The successful candidate will manage the overall progress and delivery of EMEC’s projects across partners, funders, clients and stakeholders linked to the project portfolio. This will include developing and implementing strategies to ensure project rule compliance and maximising the potential of projects to deliver EMEC’s short and long-term strategies.

Educated to degree level in a management, technical or scientific subject, you will have excellent influencing and communication skills, the ability to write for a wide variety of audiences, project management experience (including the formation of ad-hoc teams) and the ability to manage conflict and be evaluative and decisive with decision making.

Preferably based in Orkney, this is a permanent post. We would welcome both full and part-time applications for this post.
