The European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) is the world’s leading test facility for wave and tidal energy converters, having supported more real-sea deployments than at any other site in the world.
We are looking for a Technical Manager to drive innovation, strategy development and project delivery at EMEC, whilst becoming a respected technical authority on the successes and challenges of the marine renewables industry.
A technical/engineering degree (or equivalent) and operational experience in the offshore environment is essential to this role which requires sound technical input and analysis across a wide range of projects.
Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Project Manager’s role is to manage the progress and delivery of EMEC’s projects to a high standard, ensuring outputs are delivered on time, and within budget. Educated to degree level in a relevant technical or scientific subject, we are seeking someone with significant project management experience who can inspire project teams to succeed.
Excellent communication skills and confidence in public speaking are required for both roles.
Based in Orkney, you will have the opportunity to travel around the UK and overseas.
