News this week

Aquamarine Power Ltd’s contractors, Longbore have completed their work on site at Billia Croo and have demobilised.

The Maintenance Technician, Roy Temple, has collected the replacement EMEC works vehicle.

Matthew Finn, Research and Development Co-ordinator, was in London recently at a Carbon Crucible conference.

Results from BWEA’s Photo Competition 2008 have been published and there are a couple of EMEC related photos in the final list. Have a look at some of the winning photographs published in the Guardian’s environment section.

The photograph above shows the sunrise over Scapa Flow as seen from EMEC’s offices this morning. As this is our last posting before January 2009 may we wish you an equally bright sunrise to 2009 and successful deployment and testing at EMEC for all those planning to deploy during that year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY 2009.
