Weather Stations

A purpose built weather station is located close to each test site. This information is fed into the SCADA system, and is made available to all developers. The weather station is calibrated to national standards and provides the following information:

Every 5 minutes:

• Mean wind speed
• Mean wind direction

Every 30 minutes:

• Mean air temperature
• Relative humidity
• Rainfall
• Barometric pressure

Over 24 hours:

• Average, minimum and maximum air temperature
• Average relative humidity
• Total rainfall
• Average wind speed
• Average wind direction
• Average barometric pressure
