Scottish Renewables Annual Conference 2020
Scottish Renewables Annual Conference is taking place online on 1 – 3 September 2020. This event is the place where all the players who will make net zero happen in Scotland convene.
In a year with so much to consider in terms of both our climate emergency response and the recovery from coronavirus, this event provides the perfect forum to bring together our collective knowledge and expertise to ensure that we have a credible and secure plan in place for the energy transition we need to make.
Our energy system is the cornerstone of our future economic opportunities, our future places to live and work and a healthier future for everyone.
Not to be missed:
Day 3 | 3 September 2020 | 1000 – 1115 | Plenary 6 – Systems transformation: accelerating the rate of change
How can we plan and manage our grid resource to meet the demands of the UK market? How do we understand and keep pace with the changes that are happening around us and make sure that we use all the new options and tools available to us to optimise our energy networks?
In this session, EMEC’s Managing Director, Neil Kermode, will present on the ReFLEX Orkney project, a £28.5 million Innovate UK project, which aims to decarbonise Orkney’s energy system, increase the use of local renewable generation and provide a competitive local renewable electricity tariff.
