A graduate and Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and a Fellow of the Energy Institute, Andrew is a visiting Professor at University of Strathclyde and is on the Board of the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult.  Previous roles include CEO of Narec and MD of EMEC.  He has served on a number of government advisory boards and has held numerous directorships in SMEs and large corporate organisations.  Andrew has been in the energy industry for over 30 years including 15 years with Rolls Royce Peebles where he was a Director and General Manager of the international projects division.

Alistair Gray

A finance graduate and Chartered Accountant, Alistair has extensive business experience. From 1997 Alistair was a Board Member of Highlands and Islands Enterprise and for six years was involved in a wide variety of economic and community projects across the network. In August 2005 he was appointed to the Board of EMEC with specific responsibility for finance. He is currently CEO and Chair of Hammars Hills Energy Ltd, Orkney’s largest privately owned wind farm and a director of Northwind Associates Limited.

Ron is a Civil Engineer and is currently the Chair of the Water Research Centre, based near Swindon, Wiltshire. Ron has had a distinguished career within the energy industry having held a number of senior posts within the Scottish Power and National Grid Groups and is currently a member of the Gas Network Innovation Competition Expert Panel. He has strong connections to the Caithness area.

An MBA and FCA investment manager, Sheryl has over 30 years’ experience in finance and technology with a particular emphasis in venture capital and commercialising technology companies. She was GP of US/UK venture firm Cross Atlantic Capital Partners where she, amongst other investments, seeded an incubator and worked with Scottish universities to commercialise technology innovations. Sheryl has sat on several boards of SMEs, investment committees and public sector advisory boards including the BEIS Energy Entrepreneur’s Fund. She is currently MD of Monterey Global Partners UK, a private equity group with a fund focused on investing in renewable energy and clean technologies.
